Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

The Sales Executive – Coach & Charter will be responsible for selling Volgren’s and Marcopolo’s school, charter and coach bus products, achieving budgeted sales numbers and market share. It is a pivotal role to increase Volgren’s presence in this market niche, where the Sales Executive will travel across the country actively engaging with customers, promoting the brand, and contribute to achieving sales targets while fostering long-term client relationships.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Embed and model company values across the team, promoting respect, collaboration, and integrity.
  • Achieving or surpassing the revenue (AUD) and sales targets (Volume) set by the company.
  • Retention of the current customer base and expansion through the acquisition of new accounts.
  • Creating leads and converting them into effective orders.
  • Ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and positive feedback.
  • Building strong and trust-based relationships with key stakeholders, business partners and customers.
  • Achieve ‘Preferred Body Builder” status with customers and chassis suppliers to gain advantage in the market.
  • To report and maintain a regular report, informing the rest of the business on the status of past, current and new negotiations/leads.
  • To monitor and report our competitors’ commercial strategies and orders and create strategies to recover deals.
  • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to create sales quotations, calculate product costs, set sales prices, determine contribution margins, establish general terms and conditions, and confirm delivery dates.
  • Oversee the scheduling and planning to ensure timely delivery dates are communicated across the organization.
  • Participate in meetings and assist in meeting the expectations of both internal and external customers.
  • Ensure all product features and options are documented in the Bus Body Specification document and communicated to the organization.
  • Sharing documentation, monitoring project progress, and participating in discussions and meetings.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure that the product meets the requirements outlined in the Sales Order and adheres to Volgren's quality standards, either independently or on behalf of the Customer.
  • Collect market feedback and create/manage internal product development discussions.

  • Microsoft Office advanced knowledge (word, excel, power point).

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or a related field (preferable).
  •  Knowledge of industry and market regulations and compliance standards.
  • Previous experience with Sales, Account Management or Customer Interaction, preferably in the same industry.
  • Proven track record of managing contracts and projects, preferably in the same industry.
  • Experience in presenting and pitching products to potential Customers.
  • Experience in CRM and sales tracking tools.
  • Heavy Vehicle Driver License.

Desired Skills and Experience

This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
