Job Description
ABOUT THE ROLE:
The Production Planning Support will be responsible for timely planning, release, maintenance and close off of Work Orders, update item planning data, forecast and plan fabrication loading to meet available capacity.
The position is located in the company's headquarters in Dandenong South, VIC. The position reports to Pre-Production Leader within the Planning Department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Maintain MRP system for planning and releasing jobs in all Volgren facilities
Plan, release, assign serial numbers and maintain bus jobs to meet production schedule
Coordinate jobs completion processes
Raise and maintain special work orders. Assist with reporting for closing of jobs
Plan and forecast fabrication loading
Co-ordinate in-source / out-source process
Initiate and implement Fabrication planning improvements
Assist with BOM maintenance for all sites including VIC, QLD, WA, MAL, China
Assist coordinate pre-production processes
Assist with change management (PCRs)
Assist other planners as required.
COMPETENCIES:
Understanding of material flow processes in a Manufacturing environment
Good understanding of process flow in a Manufacturing environment
Demonstrable analytical and problem-solving skills
Competent Microsoft Office Suite skills, including accessing and presenting relevant data
Effective communication and interpersonal skills
Highly developed time management skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
EDUCATION OR EXPERIENCE
Previous experience in a dynamic manufacturing environment within production planning capacity
Understanding of Material Requirements Planning (MRP) is essential
MS Office - strong proficiency in MS Excel necessary
Highly effective written and oral communication and time management skills
Tertiary qualifications in production planning, inventory control or technical field is preferred
