Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE:

To assist in the preparation of monthly reports within the specified deadline.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Process daily banking and reconcile bank on daily basis.
  • Process accruals, prepayment and recurring journals in Epicor.
  • Assist in the maintenance of Fixed Asset register. Run depreciation and reconcile GL.
  • Assist in processing and maintaining AASB16 Leases.
  • Run month end AR-AP-Stock reports on the last working day of the month.
  • Assist Accountant and Finance Manager in General Ledger reconciliations at month end.
  • Liaise with AP team for month end AP accruals.
  • Assist in chasing overdue AR invoices.
  • Assist AP team with processing of invoices into Epicor.
  • Assist Finance Manager in preparation of BAS and FBT return.
  • Other Accounting & Finance related support to business as directed by Finance Manager.

COMPETENCIES:

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Positive attitude and a good team player.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Advanced Excel skills (Pivot tables & lookups)

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting & studying towards CPA/CA
  • At least 2-3 years’ experience in similar role
  • Experience dealing in multiple currencies is an advantage.
     

This position also requires the applicant to undertake a pre-employment medical which includes a drug and alcohol analysis, musculoskeletal evaluation and hearing test
